Meet The Team

My experience in the field prior to private practice was in all levels of treatment for mental health and substance use disorders. I consider myself to be transparent and straightforward which I encourage the individuals I meet to do the same. I feel the therapeutic relationship is vital to someone feeling comfortable in a counseling setting.

I have a strength based approach to therapy where I assist individuals in recognizing their own strengths to manage their lives. I truly believe in our motto “Redefine Expectations, Redefine Self” for every client we serve.

I am a firm believer in self-care so I pride myself in hobbies such as the gym, attending sporting events, and exploring the local community. I love cooking and experiencing different cuisines and consider myself a “foodie”.

I am a dedicated mental health professional with degrees from Pennsylvania State University and Liberty University. My passion for mental health care has remained unwavering throughout my career journey.

As a military spouse, adoptive parent, and homeschool mom, I bring a unique perspective to the practice. I also provide support for individuals facing life transitions and adolescent issues.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in strengths-based principles, and I incorporate mindfulness and experiential therapy techniques into our sessions.

Currently, as a Resident in Counseling, my commitment is to assist you in finding happiness and achieving your goals. I believe that building trust and fostering understanding in our therapeutic relationship are essential components of the healing process.

In my free time, I treasure moments with loved ones, delight in laughter, and appreciate time spent outdoors. My mission is to offer a nurturing and accepting environment where you can embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

Lisa Ellison, MA, Resident In Counseling - Telehealth Only

Courtney Cooper, MA, Resident In Counseling Telehealth Only

Hi, I’m Courtney. I’m a Resident in Counseling and I approach therapy with compassion and clarity, creating a space where you can explore your story without judgment. I’m an active clinician, meaning I balance processing with practical skill-building and psychoeducation.

At times, I offer between-session “homework” to help solidify progress and support real-world change. I’m also trained in EMDR, which I can incorporate alongside traditional talk therapy when it aligns with your goals.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new cultures through travel, and connecting with my church community.
